Cranberry simple syrup is exactly what all your fall cocktails need.
In a medium pot, bring water to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until it's fully dissolved.
Add the cranberries and simmer for 10 minutes
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a sealable container and allow to come to room temperature on the counter with the lid off. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.*
*Either fresh or frozen cranberries will work.
Yeilds 1 1/4 Cups
If the syrup comes out of your fridge and it's thick, that's fine. Just microwave it for a few seconds to thin it out.
Cranberry simple syrup will keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
