Loco Moco With Roasted Garlic Gravy. Rice, homemade roasted garlic gravy, and a home ground burger patty served with a fried egg on top. Your new favorite way to eat a burger ;)

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Japanese Sticky Rice
  • 1 Quart Roasted Garlic Gravy*
  • 1 Pound Fresh Ground Beef Burger Patties**
  • 4 Eggs
  • Chopped Scallions for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to the directions on the package.
  2. While the rice cooks, sear the burger to your preference of doneness. For medium-rare cook 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. As the burgers sear, fry the eggs sunny side up. In a separate skillet heat a tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Carefully the break eggs into the skillet, and cook until the whites are just set on top and the yolks are still runny, about 2 minutes. Cover and cook for 1 more minute. Transfer the eggs with a spatula to a plate line with paper towels to sop up any extra grease.

  4. To assemble, pile some rice on a plate and make a small dent in the pile. Pour some gravy into dent and add the burger patty. Top with a fried egg.
  5. Garnish with chopped scallions.

**You could make do with store bought patties but freshly ground meat is so much better.
