How to Make Cranberry Rice Krispies Treats
Just like the original recipe, melt a stick of putter in a large pot over medium heat. Protip: the butter will melt faster if you chop it into smaller chunks. Add the mini marshmallows. You know what they are right? Those mini marshmallows that you add to hot cocoa. You should always use mini marshmallows for Rice Krispies Treats because the smaller ones melt better. Add vanilla extract and lemon extract to enhance the flavors. Then, remove the mixture from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies Cereal and dried cranberries. Dried Cranberry Recipe: Cranberry Rice Krispies Treats
Dried Cranberries make these Rice Krispie Treats unbearably addicting.
Ingredients
- 1 Stick Butter
- 10 Ounce Mini Marshmallows
- 1 1/2 Cups Dried Cranberries
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Extract
- 6 Cups Rice Krispies
Instructions

Grease a 9×13 baking pan and set it aside.

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Add marshmallows and cook until soft. Stirring occasionally.

Add the vanilla and lemon extracts and give it a good stir.

Turn off the heat and add the Rice Krispies and cranberries and fold to combine. Spoon the mixture into the 9×13 pan and allow to cool (about 20 minutes). Cut into squares and enjoy!
