We can fix that! Today we’re going to make a bacon infused cocktail. Specifically, we’ll be making bacon infused whiskey.
Bacon Infused Whiskey!?

So How Do I Make Bacon Whiskey?
Well first need to start with a bottle of whiskey. You ever have a great whiskey that is full of flavor from being aged in a beautiful oak cask? Yeah we don’t want one of those. You want a cheap whiskey because the bacon flavor is going to overshadow any of that flavor. Go out and buy a shitty whiskey, like Seagrams 7. Sorry, Seagrams, but you are not a finely aged, small batch spirit.
Now fill a glass with 2 ounces of whiskey and drink it. Next, fry up 6 strips of bacon making sure not to burn down the house now that you’re drunk. Fry it up until it is perfectly crispy and the pan is filled with grease. Measure 2 ounces of the bacon grease and let it cool for 5 minutes. Pour the rendered fat directly into the bottle, seal, and shake. Let the mixture sit on the counter at room temperature for a week, shaking it up every so often.
It may look like really gross but trust me, it’ll be delicious in the end. When the week is up, strain out the fat through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.
If at any point during the process, the filter gets clogged and the drip stops, simply swap out the filter for a new one. You may need to do this twice, just make sure there is no fat floating on top or it will make your cocktail greasy.
Now here’s where Torani comes in. We are going to make seltzer in a SodaStream seltzer maker. You ever have the syrups that SodaStream sells to make soda? They’re awful! However, Torani Syrups make a really good soda when added to seltzer. Make a bottle of seltzer and crack open the Spicy Kola Nut syrup. Add 2.5 ounces of syrup to the seltzer, seal, and turn it over to blend. Don’t shake or it will go flat.
Now just pour 2 ounces of bacon whiskey into a rocks glass with ice. Top with soda and garnish with a bacon strip.
